Summer Program

Roots Montessori Centre’s 2024 Summer Camp offers a rich variety of weekly programs designed to engage children in creative, educational, and hands-on activities. Each week focuses on a unique theme, such as Canadian culture, arts and crafts, nature exploration, culinary experiences, gardening, ocean life, and multicultural activities. The camp aims to foster curiosity, creativity, and social interaction while providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to explore and learn.

Roots Montessori Centre’s 2024 Summer Camp features engaging weekly programs that each explore a different theme:

1. Oh, Canada! – Celebrate Canadian culture with crafts, indigenous art, and a Stampede dress-up day.
2. Our Creative Hands – Dive into art with painting, beadwork, and clay modeling.
3. Our Planet, Earth – Explore Earth’s wonders through volcano experiments, fossils, and more.
4. Mini Chef’s/Field to Fork – Learn about global cuisines and safe food handling.
5. Gardening and Plantation – Experience indoor and outdoor gardening activities.
6. Carnival of the Ocean – Discover ocean life with crafts and aquarium making.
7. Multi-Culture Week – Explore diverse cultures through crafts, traditional art, and cultural materials.

Each week provides children with hands-on learning, fostering creativity, exploration, and social development.
